In other news, the California Supreme Court is expected to rule as early as next week on this issue — a rare show of urgency that hints towards overruling this hideous ban on equal rights.
In addition to the ACLU, Lamdba Legal, NCLR and 43 Democrat legislators from the State of California, the Anti-Defamation League, Asian Law Caucus, Bet Tzedek Legal Services, Japanese American Citizens League, Public Counsel,Bar Association of San Francisco,Legal Aid Society-Employment Law Center, the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area and the Impact Fund have all filed letters of support with the Court to overturn Prop. 8.
